Please join us for Session 2 of this collaborative educational opportunity that will demonstrate documentation and activity details throughout the lifecycle of a project.

This three-part case study/walk-through of an actual project will take you on a deep dive through Initiation & Definition (Material from Session 1, delivered September 16, 2020, is posted on the Research PMO Website Events page), Development & Validation, and Production & Project Close.

Session 2 will cover the Development & Validation Phases of a project that was implemented in 2019 to support an application used in Research Labs. Join us as we demonstrate the sequence of activities and the view of how each relevant document is built and represented in a plan.

Virtual call-in and link will be provided to registrants 48 hours prior to the event.

Video use is preferred to make the session more interactive and engaging amongst the group, also providing a great networking opportunity for everyone.

Session 3 will be held in FY21, Q3.

In case you missed session one, you can review the course material on our Events Page under the Past Event Material Section at the Research PMO Website. Here's what some have said about Session One:

  • “Learning about the project management concepts in the context of one specific project allowed for a much less theoretical, more "real world" idea of how these concepts function.”
  • “I like how interactive it was. Seeing everyone's faces made the event feel more intimate.”
  • “I liked learning about all the resources available to us when thinking about how to manage a project.”
  • “I really liked being able to look at sample sheets of communication plans and other templates. I'm a visual learner so it was really helpful to look at those examples.”
  • “I especially liked the content…of the presentation, as well as the Smartsheet template examples used by the PMO team.”
