The Center for Autism Research and the PASSAGE Program are presenting a workshop for autistic individuals and their families, focused on providing an overview of some of the factors to consider when transitioning into the adult world.

The transition from adolescence into adulthood can be an exciting, yet daunting time for autistic young adults and their families. Preparing for adulthood may involve entering a new environment, graduating from school, handling different social situations and responsibilities, and accepting changes in a comfortable routine. We face decisions and logistical planning that affect every aspect of life: healthcare, domestic life, finances, relationships, education, employment, or alternative roles in the community.

The workshop will have two tracks: one for family members/providers and one for autistic young adults. Young adults will participate in small-group discussions related to navigating adulthood and what this means.

Cost

Caregivers, Professionals, Teens/ Young Adults: $10
Family of 3+: $25

Parking passes are available to purchase in advance for $5.

Requests for language interpreter or other accommodation services must be received two weeks in advance of the workshop.
