This workshop will teach you how to maximize the impact of your research article, beginning with your abstract. The cover letter and editorial decision making process, including the fundamentals of success at peer review, will also be discussed.

Presenter: Myles Axton, PhD - Editor-in-Chief at Genetics & Genomics

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to write an abstract that brings people in, makes them read your article, and offers them something they can use in their own research
  • Understand that readers, peer referees, editors, and funding committees come to your research report with a different perspective from your own
  • Identify what to put and what not to put in your article submission cover letter
