About the Presenter:
Dr. Maria Jaimes is the Vice President of Scientific Commercialization at Cytek® Biosciences and was part of the original team that developed and launched the Cytek Aurora Full Spectrum Cytometer. Dr. Jaimes earned her medical doctorate degree at the Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, South America, and received her postdoctoral degree from the Microbiology and Immunology Department at Stanford University. Dr. Jaimes has over 15 years of industry experience in the field of flow cytometry and has helped define best practices for various aspects of quality assurance and standardization of flow cytometry assays, including instrument performance and setup. Additionally, she has used her extensive experience in immunology and multicolor flow to leverage the benefits of full spectrum cytometry and is one of the authors of OMIP-069, the first publication featuring a 40-color laser-based flow cytometry panel, as well as OMIP-109, a high quality 45-color assay.
