Aggregation of Medication Refill Data to Assess Adherence

Objectives
- Discuss the utility of refill data as a proxy for medication adherence, and describe the internal and external sources of these data at CHOP.
- Review two case studies of adherence analysis in rheumatology (JIA) and asthma patient populations.
- Consider limitations of the current refill data ecosystem and future possible use cases.
About Dr. David Anderson
Dr. Anderson is a 4th year fellow in a combined pediatric hematology/oncology and clinical informatics fellowship at CHOP. He is interested in operational informatics, electronic health record implementation, and quality improvement, and is pursuing a career that integrates informatics and clinical oncology. His fellowship work has been presented at ACR, AMIA CIC, ASPHO, PAS, and Tandem, and published in TCT.
