The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is recruiting teen drivers to participate in a study that is testing different types of driver training program for reducing new driver crash risk. This study is open to teens between the ages of 16-17 years old who already have an active Pennsylvania learner permit.
If you are interested in participating in the study or want to learn more please contact our study team at driverstudy [at] chop.edu or 267-984-6592.
Study participants will receive free online driver training or free behind-the-wheel driver lessons by a certified driving instructor. Participants will be asked to download and use the Way-to-Drive app for tracking driving trips, complete in-clinic and post-clinic surveys, complete computer brain games, and the Virtual Driving Assessment. Participants will be asked to take their PA license exam, which will be free of charge.
