Division of Neuroradiology
The Division of Neuroradiology develops and conducts research exploring the use of central nervous system (CNS) imaging of children. The main objective of this robust research program centers on exploring the diagnosis efficacy of image modalities, such as brain MRI and spine MRI, in evaluating different conditions.
Investigators in the Division give special focus to clinical associations, aiming to identify radiological findings associated to clinical prognosis. Recently, the Division has engaged in the field of Radiomics, with the objectives to identify associations between genetic conditions and CNS imaging findings.
Current neuroradiology research topics include mitochondrial pathologies, brain tumors, psychiatric conditions, language evaluation, the development of MRI protocols, and the development of synthetic MRI.
