In the midst of being busy today and planning for tomorrow, it's important for me to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone for what they do to support the CHOP Research Institute.
Bookended by references to the 1980s and 1990s — in the form of an iconic U.S. Navy commercial and a discussion of the 1991 measles outbreak in Philadelphia — the 2015 CHOP Research Institute Scientific Symposium offered a snapshot of the inspirational work going on at CHOP every day.
The Center for Perinatal and Pediatric Health Disparities Research (CPHD) will work to “identify, describe, and understand disparities in care and care practices among perinatal and pediatric patients.”
A recent event at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention (CIRP) celebrated the wide-ranging accomplishments of a number of students who have been working with CIRP staff and investigators.
As part of its commitment to training the next generation of pediatric pioneers, every year CHOP Research takes time to honor its exceptional trainees, and recently announced the 2014 Distinguished Research Trainee Award winners.
