Submit NIH Grants for Review Five Business Days Before June Deadline
Pre-Award Research Administration works to ensure the grant applications we submit on your behalf to NIH are error free and on time.
Due to an anticipated high volume of proposals for the NIH June deadlines, we strongly encourage you to submit the complete proposal, including a final budget, five business days prior to the NIH deadline. This will ensure the thorough review and successful submission of your application.
If a large number of applications come to the office on the deadline, they may receive a minimal review. Unanticipated technical difficulties could arise resulting in delays in submission causing NIH to reject your application without review.
In addition, this will be the first major deadline following NIH’s switch to new application forms (Forms-F). Given this change, and the fact that many faculty and staff are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to ensure we have sufficient time to resolve unforeseen challenges with submissions.
We want your application to be successful. To help give it its best chance, please submit the complete application for review by the following dates. Please see the Proposal Review and Submission Policy for additional details.
