The goal of the Offices of Pre- and Post-Award Research Administration is to support the research administrative needs of the research faculty, academic departments, and other business areas by providing accurate and timely information and services. The offices developed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to establish and document the critical goals and responsibilities CHOP personnel collectively must work toward, to achieve efficient and effective research administrative support.

We are asking the CHOP Research community to review this document and provide feedback by sending an email to OptimizeResearch@chop.edu.

The Pre- and Post-Award Research Administration SLA aims to :

  • Define the types and standards of services offered to the research community
  • Establish the foundation for cooperative partnership between Pre- and Post-Award, the faculty, departments, divisions, centers, and practice plans
  • Lay out the steps of the various functions under Pre- and Post-Award and assigns the responsibility to the appropriate party
  • Provide an escalation and resolution process should service levels deviate from the standards outlined in the SLA.

The SLA is available on the internally accessible Optimize Research page.
