The NIH recently announced that the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) stipend levels have been increased for FY2022. The new, corrected version of the NIH NRSA stipend levels can be found at https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-22-132.html.

According to CHOP policy, salaries for postdoctoral fellows are to be in alignment with the most current NIH NRSA pay scale, based on their years of postdoctoral experience. The policy can be viewed here and can also be found at http://policyprocedure.chop.edu under the Research Institute Manual under Academic Training and Outreach Programs.

All fellows receiving an annual salary increase on or after June 1, 2022, should be promoted according to this updated pay scale. In addition, all fellows hired on or after June 1, 2022, should receive a salary based on these guidelines. Please consult your business manager for additional guidance in this matter.

For questions regarding the CHOP postdoc policy, please contact atop@chop.edu.
