eSafety, the database utilized by the Office of Research Safety (ORS) to house pertinent laboratory information, will be visible and ready for use by our Research Community on Monday, January 20, 2020.

Principal Investigators and their designees can update information pertinent to their labs directly in eSafety. This will allow ORS to retire some of our more laborious, paper-based processes, which will make updating lab information easier for everyone.

We're very excited to provide this more automated service to PIs and their designees, and we've created several job aids to assist in updating the different types of information in eSafety. If you currently use any one of the eResearch platforms (eIBC, eIACUC, eIRB, eCOI), you'll find that the eSafety platform is similar. If information is being requested for your lab, you'll receive an email requesting those changes with a job aid attached to assist. You can also make changes (amendments) yourself directly in the system.

We'll be available during Office Hours to assist anyone who needs it, so please feel free to stop by the CTRB conference room 2002 every Tuesday at 10 a.m. and/or Thursday at 2 p.m., if you need hands-on assistance.

For immediate questions, please contact ORS at ResearchSafety@email.chop.edu or 267-426-2272.
