Abstract submission for the 30th annual CHOP Research Poster Day is now open! Researchers-in-training and research staff conducting research at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia are welcome to participate. CHOP Research Poster day is held in conjunction with Scientific Symposium, an annual celebration of the groundbreaking research happening throughout CHOP

A maximum of 118 abstracts will be accepted on a first-come basis. The abstract submission deadline is Saturday, April 8 at 11:59pm. View more information about abstract submission.

Participants may submit only one abstract that will be evaluated based on scientific merit, visual presentation, and oral presentation. Submissions are welcome on all scientific topics, including those outside this year's Symposium theme of "Microbiome." Participants will also have the opportunity to have their abstract considered for a flash talk presentation during the Scientific Symposium, in addition to a poster presentation.

The 2023 Poster Day and Symposium will take place on Tuesday, May 2, and Wednesday, May 3. Poster presentations will be held in the Colket Translational Research Building (CTRB) lobby. You will be notified of your time slot after abstract submission closes:

  • Poster Session A: May 2 - 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Poster Session B: May 3 - 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The Reception and Poster Award Ceremony will take place in the Hub lobby from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Scientific Symposium will open 9 a.m. on May 2 at the first-floor lecture hall in the Hub for Clinical Collaboration. The 2023 symposium theme, “Bugs and Breakthroughs: Pediatric Medicine Through the Lens of the Microbiome,” will focus on the advancements that CHOP researchers have made in this exciting arena.

During this in-person celebration of research, you will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting work of our faculty and trainees and network with others across campus. For more information on the schedule of events and to submit your abstract, please visit http://pdss.research.chop.edu/.
