2023 Outstanding Research Staff Nominations

The call for the 2023 Outstanding Research Staff nominations is open. This program offers institution-wide recognition for outstanding Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia research staff who provide exemplary support in the conduct of research and training, and it provides mentors with a mechanism to show their appreciation for their research staff.

Nomination forms must be completed by 11:59 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023. View the full nomination form PDF.

Any CHOP-based faculty member, postdoctoral fellow, physician fellow, or instructor who works directly with the nominee can submit a nomination. Nominators may only nominate one candidate.

Eligibility is limited to current research staff employed at CHOP for more than one year and who are on the Research Institute Technical Career Ladder. This includes the following job titles:

• Research Technician I-IV
• Research Assistant I or II
• Research Associate I or II
• Research Scientists I-III
• Research Lab Manager
• Research Lab Director

Nominees should be chosen by their level of experience and one area of recognition.

• Levels of Experience:
  • Junior (less than five years)
  • Post-PhD (five or more years)
  • Lab Management (regardless of job title and years of experience

• Areas of Recognition:
  • Scientific Merit/Excellence in Research
  • Leadership in Research
  • Commitment to Diversity
  • Commitment to Training

Senior leadership will recognize nominees at a luncheon on Research Staff Recognition Day, May 24, 2023.
