Investigator Honored with Circulation's Best Paper Award

Nicolas Stettler, M.D., M.S.C.E., Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, received the 2005 Best Paper Award in the category of "Population Science" from the journal Circulation for his paper, "First Week of Life and Overweight in Adulthood: A Cohort Study of European American Subjects Fed Infant Formula."

Circulation's Best Paper Award is determined by the journal's editors, who consider the paper's importance in the field and evaluate usage statistics to identify those papers that have the greatest impact. All original articles published in Circulation in 2005 were eligible for the award, which is meant to recognize authors' contributions to the journal's excellence.

Dr. Stettler's paper appeared in the April 19, 2005, issue of the journal. He will present his research findings in November at the journal's symposium on groundbreaking studies in the practice of cardiovascular medicine as part of the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions.
