Neal Sondheimer, M.D., Ph.D.
Neal is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The University of Pennsylvania. His clinical work is with patients with inborn errors of metabolism, including patients with mitochondrial disease. He received his graduate and medical degrees from the University of Chicago, and did his graduate work with Susan Lindquist, Ph.D. His post-doctoral fellowship was in the lab of Narayan Avadhani at the Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a combined fellowship in Pediatrics and Genetics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and joined the faculty in 2009.
Kristin D'Aco, M.D.
Kristin is a Genetics and Metabolism fellow at CHOP. She studies the effects of mitochondrial mutations on transcription.
Jack is an undergraduate studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Penn. His project involves analyzing the correlation between mitochondrial heteroplasmy and aging.
Ornella Zollo, Ph.D.
Ornella is studying mechanisms of mitochondrion transcription.
