Time Well Spent — Planning a Successful Sabbatical

Productive, satisfying sabbaticals (scholarly leaves) require careful negotiation and planning. Ms. Mulhern will review Penn policies on scholarly leaves, including how eligibility and salary are determined. Faculty who have taken recent sabbaticals will discuss their experience planning for sabbaticals and offer advice. The session is targeted to faculty in the Clinician-Educator, Tenure and Research tracks.

In this round-table discussion, faculty panelists with support from non-NIH federal agencies, industry, and foundations will offer advice to colleagues interested in identifying additional sources of research funding
