Working in the Clinical Trials Office

The Clinical Trials Office (CTO) is made up of experienced clinical research staff working collaboratively with principal investigators and study teams to initiate and facilitate quality research and data collection. The CTO staff is composed of registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and dieticians. Many staff members hold advanced degrees in a variety of disciplines, including psychology, public health, allied health professional, business, education, and clinical research. Many coordinators are currently pursuing advanced degrees and taking advantage of the continuing education classes available on the Hospital's campus. The CTO also supports coordinators seeking certification through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.

Coordinators participate in the most current clinical research that encompasses common and specialized clinical diseases and conditions. Coordinators work on investigator initiated and industry sponsored research studies that may require an Investigational New Drug or Investigational Device Exemption.
