Dr. Binenbaum is studying the role of Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF1) in the pathogenesis, risk stratification, and potential treatment of retinopathy of prematurity. Other interests include the pathogenesis of retinal hemorrhages in pediatric abusive head injury.
