The Research Flow Cytometry Core Laboratory of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute is located on the 12th floor of the Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Pediatric Research Center in room 1207. The laboratory provides state of the art instrumentation and professional technical assistance for performing flow cytometric analyses. We focus on providing services to members of the research community of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania but outside the campus users are welcome to our facility.
The facility is equipped with two BD instruments (LSRFortessa and FACSCalibur) and one Accuri C6. Access to an LSR II instrument is available for applications requiring a UV laser. The instruments are available 24 hours a day to users carrying a CHOP ID. Users not affiliated with CHOP may use the facility during business hours. The core is under the direction of Dr. Florin Tuluc and the daily activities of the lab are supervised by Eric Riedel.
Most of our users are trained to prepare and run their samples, but a diverse array of services is available, including designing antibody panels, fixing and staining cells, running samples, data analysis, bead-based assays.
