The Advancing Healthcare for Children symposium is designed to promote discussions and interactions among The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Drexel University and Hebrew University. The ultimate goal is to form collaborative "Dream Teams" consisting of investigators from all three organizations who will compete for grants that will support translational research projects with commercialization potential.
The event will consist of plenary sessions, breakouts and one-on-one meetings. The plenary sessions will include a presentation from each institution, providing a broad overview of the cutting edge research driving innovation at each location. Breakout sessions will run simultaneously, with two talks from each institution and a discussion period. These sessions will focus on areas of common interest among the institutions that have the potential to generate collaborative teams.
On the final day of the symposium, participants will have the unique opportunity to meet with meeting participants at their offices in CHOP and Drexel for one-on-one discussions. This will allow for follow up on presentations and discussions from the previous two days, and serve as the first step in the development of new collaborations. Participants may arrange these private meetings in advance of the event or during the course of the symposium.
Abstract Submission and Posters
The Advancing Healthcare for Children symposium will include a poster session to foster the sharing of research information. All participants are requested to submit abstracts for posters, even if they have not been assigned speaking slots. The posters will provide a meeting point and discussion focus for networking receptions and one-on-one meetings. Please use the links in the left hand side bar to register for the event and submit an abstract. Questions can be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
